Reservation Fee: A reservation fee is required to confirm your booking. The reservation fee is non-refundable (see Section 6: Cancellation Policy for details). The remaining balance is due on or before the tour date, as specified during the booking process.
Accepted Payment Methods: We accept payments through the following methods:
Transaction Fees: Additional transaction fees, such as a convenience fee or a percentage charged by the payment processor (e.g., credit card fees), are the responsibility of the payer. These fees will be clearly indicated during the payment process.
Changing Your Booking: If you wish to make changes to your booking (such as changing the tour date or adding additional participants), please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate your request, but changes are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
Group Bookings: For group bookings, changes to the itinerary, number of participants, or other details must be made at least 7 days before the tour date. We will work with you to ensure that your group’s experience is seamless.
Dietary Requirements: If you have specific dietary requirements (e.g., vegetarian, vegan, halal), please inform us at the time of booking. We will make every effort to accommodate your needs.
Accessibility Needs: If you or any member of your group has accessibility requirements, please let us know when booking. While some tours may have limitations due to the terrain, we will do our best to ensure an enjoyable experience for all.
Tour Capacity: Each tour has a limited capacity to ensure a personalized and enjoyable experience for all guests. Bookings are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and availability is not guaranteed until you receive a booking confirmation.
Weather Conditions: Palawan’s weather can be unpredictable. In the event of bad weather, tours may be rescheduled or modified (see Section 7: Weather and Safety).
Cancellations by Guests: Once a booking is confirmed and the reservation fee is paid, cancellations initiated by the guest are not permitted. This is because the reservation fee is used to cover costs for securing permits, coordinating with local operators, and making other necessary arrangements in advance. In the event that you cannot attend the tour, we recommend contacting us to explore rescheduling options, subject to availability.
Cancellations by the Company: In rare circumstances, we may need to cancel or modify your tour due to factors beyond our control, such as adverse weather conditions, government restrictions, or safety concerns. In such cases, we will offer an alternative activity, such as an inland tour, or reschedule your tour to another date. If we are unable to provide an alternative, we will issue a full refund for the tour.
Weather-Related Changes: While Palawan is known for its beautiful weather, sudden changes can occur. If we determine that weather conditions are unsafe for activities like island hopping, we will modify your tour for safety reasons. This may include substituting an inland tour or cultural experience recommended by the Office of Tourism.
Safety First: Your safety is our top priority. All our tours comply with local safety regulations, and our guides are trained to handle emergency situations. Please follow all instructions from our guides during the tour to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
Non-Refundable Reservation Fee: The reservation fee is non-refundable, as it is used to secure permits, boat rentals, and other arrangements with third-party providers. We are unable to offer refunds for cancellations made by guests after the booking is confirmed.
Refund for Cancellations by the Company: In the event that Palawan Island Tours cancels your tour due to factors such as weather, safety concerns, or operational issues and we cannot provide a suitable alternative, we will issue a full refund for the tour.
We highly recommend that all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellations, medical emergencies, and activities such as island hopping, snorkeling, and hiking. Palawan Island Tours is not responsible for any unforeseen events, including illness, injury, or loss of personal belongings during your trip.
By booking a tour with Palawan Island Tours, you acknowledge that participation in outdoor activities such as island hopping, snorkeling, and hiking involves certain inherent risks. You agree to release and hold harmless Palawan Island Tours, its employees, and third-party providers from any liability for injuries, accidents, or damages incurred during the tour.
